One of my lifelong nicknames has been Bex. Back in high school, instead of dutifully taking notes, I was often sketching in my notebooks, dreaming up fashion ads for a future brand I called “bex.” At the time, my big goal was to “go to NYU and be a fashion designer.” While I never did make the move to the snowy North, I happily stayed in the sun-soaked South and attended the College of Charleston instead.

The beginning of my art career began with oil painting, a medium I still deeply love. But over time, I found myself drawn back to my original passion: fashion illustration. It felt only natural to brand these lighter, more whimsical works under the same name that sparked endless creativity years ago, bex. While I originally signed only my illustrations that way, I now use the bex signature across all my new work, including oils, as it truly represents the heart of my creative identity.

I love working with clients to bring their vision to life. I do branding, logo, and advertising work for businesses along with individual projects (bridal, graduation, pets, portraits, you name it).

The procedure for illustrations is similar to that of my oil paintings. We decide on content and layout (I can work from photos). Pricing for 8"x10" watercolor and pen illustrations typically ranges from $300-$800, depending on content and complexity. Deposit of 50% is due before I begin with the remaining balance being due upon completion and of course client's satisfaction.

Turnaround time for illustrations is typically 4-5 weeks.
